Sources and scope
We link to primary authorities and relevant providers for rules, directories and service conditions. A directory can help you check registration; it does not prove quality, personal eligibility, availability or suitability. Where rules change, guides explain the decision process and direct you to the current authority.
Source dates describe when material was checked, not when every claim in a linked website was independently verified. A publication or review date is not a promise of live monitoring. Search listings and official directories may be used to locate a destination even when the full page cannot be retrieved.
AI assistance and editorial responsibility
ExpatShield uses AI tools to help organize research, draft and revise copy, and create illustrative assets. Content moves through a draft, review and publication workflow. That workflow is not a claim that an independent human fact-checker or licensed professional reviewed every page. We do not claim lived experience for AI-assisted text.
Examples and images
Hypothetical budgets and scenarios are labeled as illustrative. Replace their inputs with your own quotes. Generated illustrations show generic planning scenes and are not photographs of a real clinic, rental or household. Documentary images carry attribution and license information.
Creator perspectives
Videos are embedded from their original YouTube channels. Channel descriptions are attributed to their creators. Directory inclusion is not verification of every video claim and does not make a creator responsible for ExpatShield’s articles.
Corrections
If a fact or link needs attention, contact us with the page URL, the issue and a current official source if available. We cannot promise a response time. Use official channels directly for urgent decisions.
